Now you have your pancakes think about some plates, the roses are just lovely and hard to get hold of you basically have to get them from Royal Albert.

This china is nice and it is the best ceramics around, if you are over 25 then you should take a look.  It will definitely give your home a look and you should definitely have a party with all the best china.  Parties are popular in the bad weather because there is nowhere else to go.

Don't forget it is pancake day today so get flipping.

Art and disability

I read a great article about art and disability http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-39073403 and thought this was important to highlight.  Disabled people have real talents and are whole human beings and we have seen with the Olympics what they can achieve and now disabled people are achieving again in the field of art.

I don't have a link for you to buy the art but if you follow the link above that should tell you.  We should all support these artists and give them every encouragement, perhaps you know of grants and other funding they can have, if so then get in touch with them.

Post internet art

Reading The Times today http://www.thetimes.co.uk/ and the top article is a blow in the face for The Labour Party, can't believe it they lost the by election.  We all thought they would get elected in the next general election!!!  Looks like the Liberal Democrats will have a chance!! http://www.libdems.org.uk/

Art Nouveau

I was down at the Lamb & Flag pub having a beer in a nice old pub, there were loads of people there, the place was heaving but the beer was cold and the fire was warm.

Got talking to a few people about Art Nouveau and they had actually heard of it.  It is amazing art and can be found in most art galleries.  It is pretty and different, just the ideal thing for your living room.

I recommended a couple of galleries I know and we were in business.  You can just wander in yourself and see some of it, you will be pleasantly surprised and might even buy

Gone with the wind costumes and art - A true love story

I was reading a good website called www.chron.com and she has found a place where you can go and see the history and art of the film and book 'Gone with the wind'.

The film is based on a true story of love and the American Civil War, one young pretty, spoilt rich girl fights back and the story unfolds of the love of her life against an historical background.

Vivienne Lee and Clarke Gable took the parts in the film and it was magical, Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler, what a film.  you can still buy the book and the film today .

This is definitely a classic of our time, and now we can all go and see for ourselves the marvellous costumes, manuscripts and art that was used in this very moving story
